On Sunday 17 June 2007 we shall be opening our gardens to the general public from 2-4pm.

To celebrate our 7th year in action,  people can come and see for themselves what can be done when we work as a team.
If you have kept in touch with us from our birth, you will have noticed so many changes!

We now have 6 gardens,

Some intensively worked, some for occasional work and one for relaxation! The class room is great to entertain the children or as shelter from the rain.

The group is still going strong with 10 families coming every week for 2 hours and on the whole we have been able to keep these allotments in shape.

The warmth and rain of the last few weeks is definitively testing our energy though, as everything is growing very fast (weeds, lawns and lettuces) and the slugs, snails, mice and pigeons  are loving it too.

We are based on the Loughborough Road allotment site. The entrance is from Kingston Road (off Musters Road) A bus stop is on top of the road (buses 8 and 9).

A tour around the gardens also includes the Pecking Hen Project and some explanation on how the project works and is set up. A cake and refreshment stall is available to raise some funds for the project. It will be lovely to welcome you on the day.
